From Board to Boat

Each ASB bait is handcrafted using only the finest of materials, starting with northern white cedar direct from the mill. With upwards of 50 steps involved in our process, our baits are a true labor of love. They are cut, shaped, and sanded in our woodshop and then moved to the paint studio. The painting process starts with multiple coats of sealant, epoxy and primer with sanding between applications before the first spray of the airbrush. That’s when our baits really come to life. Layers of texture, color and detail are hand applied giving each bait a custom “small batch” look and feel. Each bait is then finished with four coats of TrueCoat epoxy giving depth to the design and protection in the water. An ASB bait on your boat is truly one-of-a-kind, just like the bait fish they are designed after.

About ASB

Dave Antczak,

ANGLER * DESIGNER * PAINTER

Dave Antczak started Antczak Small Batch baits in his basement workshop in 2018. Each lure is hand-crafted from Atlantic white cedar and hand-painted by Dave himself. His love of fishing and pursuit of muskies on Lake St. Clair motivated him to develop his own line of lures designed to target this amazing fish. His drive for perfection is what motivated Dave to produce only a limited number of these baits each year. This enables him to ensure quality craftsmanship in each lure he produces.
